"Hello Yvette,

I so enjoy your newsletters.  This one really hit home in a lot of ways.  Again, I enjoy your newsletters so much.  Glad I found you."

P Brown, Vancouver, WA, USA

"Thank you for your newsletters. They always seem to arrive just as I am about to have a clutter catastrophe. Your newsletters leave me calm and yet charged - charged to attack the next bout of clutter. Keep the newsletters coming. (Love to hear that they are written by a mom with everyday issues and not some 21 year old neat freak from an office)."

Christina, Long Island, New York, USA

“Yvette,

Just read your latest newsletter - thanks for the inspiration.  Another hint that someone else passed on to me was to keep a large gift bag hanging in each child's wardrobe. As you go to put an item of clothing on them and discover that it's too small, fold it up then and there and place it in the gift bag.  When the bag is full, pass it on to a friend with younger kids / charity shop whatever.  This way you are doing the decluttering on a continual basis and your kid's wardrobe doesn't get cluttered up with items that they can no longer wear.

I wish I'd thought of this little gem years ago. So many times I've put a t-shirt on one of my kids, thought "that's way too small", taken it off and put it back on the shelf ?!?!?!?!  How silly is that - yet I've done it over and over again. NO MORE !

Cheers and Thanks Again,”

Julia Knock, Sunshine Coast Hinterland, Queensland

"Hi Yvette:

So nice to hear from you, and really enjoyed this newsletter even though I don' t have any young children.

My step-daughter has a son in the middle of 4 girls, and the twins are also the youngest, they now range from 14 to 21, and there is a dog. The only difference is they don't have your organization skills, and live a distance away ( 800 km).

I am in some major rearranging in my den/office, and can relate to the Billy bookcases at Ikea. I am working on one room at a time, though I have created a list for the whole job. I had a lady who does re-designing/home staging in for a free consultation last Friday, and she pointed out all kinds of things.

It made it simple for me to focus on what I need to do in order to be more organized, and have my home looking more like a new (3 years old) show home and more comfortable for living in.

I am amazed at how quickly I came up with a plan as to what needs to be done. I am also still concentrating on ridding the excess papers. I went through half of the old household receipts in 3 hours, and wrote all the necessary info onto a dozen sheets of paper which go into a household record binder. When I have more time I will enter it into computer and collate the info, print it and file it again.

I have completed my inventory of about one quarter of my home so far, it is a tedious task. Going through the receipts is a part of it, as I am doing a whole home job which is long overdue.

I guess I am getting better at this, and yes, it is definitely freeing, and feels good.

Please feel free to share my progress with your other clientele. I am happy with your newsletters, and support, without which, I could not have done all that I have.

The only part I hate, is returning items that do not work as well as I visualized. I bought a new curtain rod, and it was in 3 pieces, and did not fit in the space I needed. It said 48"-144", and I needed 84", so it goes back today. I have to pick up a cube storage unit, that is "45"x45" with 9 cubes, so I can display things I need in my den. This is from Home Depot. It is cheaper than Ikea, though they no longer carry the 30"x60" (H) units that I wanted for the living room, either side of the fireplace for cube display (I procrastinated on that one, and they are now discontinued).

My other option is 2 - 72"H x28" w bookcases, all of the above in white. I will do the cube in my den first, then move the other 48" bookcase, and 16" storage unit to my basement where I can use it there, and have plenty of room and use for them.

I am more enthused about this process, now that I am seeing progress, and I really appreciate your patience and support.

Loretta David, Chilliwack, BC, Canada

"Hello Yvette,

What a wonderful idea of yours to email these suggestions on a daily basis, as I feel so much better already - on the ball with lots more energy!

Your advice is sound (esp suggesting not to do too much in one sitting!) - and I must say I have felt a lovely sense of achievement finishing chores as I get into healthy routines.

Thank you for these fabulous tips!

With very best wishes,"

Maggie from London, England

"Thank you again for this fortnight newsletter.  I am beginning to see improvement at my desk following your last newsletter.  I am not stupid but it seems so hard to get organised.  Reading your letter seems to guide me on the right path.

Thanks again for sharing the knowledge.

"Hi Yvette,

Just want to thank you for your articles.  Still reading through them.  Have read Boxed Time?   Can't remember the title and Self Discipline, Motivation, really enjoying them.  Thanks so much.

Lots more to read and looking forward to it."

"Your newsletters are very helpful.  They keep me focussed on how and what I need to do to get my house (and life) in order.

Thank you :-)"

"Hi Yvette,

Thanks so much for the one week guide to being organized. I guess i'm not that bad but still need a lot of help getting my things organized and pushing myself to not to let it slide and rebel about not having someone to do it for me anymore. I'm from the Philippines where one can be so pampered with having the luxury of household help without causing so much dent on the budget (you can easily have full time maids, nannies and even a driver and you don't have to be very affluent to be able to do this in the Philippines.) But we recently moved to Ireland and I need more help in organizing my household with no household help and take care of my children full time (age 1 and 3), so different from working as a doctor full time in the Philippines. I do most of the things in your advise, but I am one of those people guilty of the |"all or none excuse" that some things are left undone and put off. I just finished reading the 2 weeks of daily tips. Just give me few days to put things in order and implement the things you have advised so well and i will definitely buy your e-book.

Again, thanks so much and more power and keep on writing."

Jade, Leixlip, County Kildare, Ireland

"Hi Yvette,

Another great tip!  You are just amazingly good at this stuff - and have helped me no end.

"Yvette,

You are to be congratulated for being able to capture and write all these frugal Organizational Tips in a concise manner.

We are almost 80 years old ah have been practicing all your tips for many years while nurturing our Children.  We just couldn't express our thoughts on paper as well as you have done.

This is certainly great for young families trying to keep pace with all the obstacles facing them.

We too, like lists, especially "To DO" Lists.  It does tend to keep one somewhat organized, even though we re not able to accomplish them all in the time allotted as we are slowing down.  when we do accomplish two or three items, it certainly makes us feel productive.

With just two of us, we still stock up when there are Sales, we always
buy in bulk, buy three or four Roasts and Bake all at same time,
Wrap them in Aluminum Foil, Label & Date and place in plastic bags
ready for Freezer. This not only Saves money on goods, but also
Gas or Electric used for Baking.

Thank you for the great, much needed Service you are performing."

Rhea Bell, Las Vegas, Nevada, USA

"Great tips! Your tips are really great and I learn something each time I read
them.  They are truly invaluable.  I look forward to more organizing tips from you!  Thanks so much."

Kathy, Hartselle Alabama USA

"Dear Yvette,

I just want to say thank you so much for your articles.  I do not usually pay much heed to messages and articles sent to me online but your writing is interesting and inspiring without being didactic or pedantic.  It makes sense.  I like the way you relate order to the inner world as well as the outer.  As an intuitive I can be extremely disordered and unable to categorise so thank you for the help.

With warm wishes,"

S Turner, Edinburgh, Scotland

"Dear Yvette,

Thank you for all your helpful hints over the last 12 months or so.  I have made a lot of changes in my life and the way I do things.  I am a mother of three aged between 8 - 14 years.  Most people who know me would have described our home as chaos at the least.  I used to be so disorganized, every time I went anywhere I would forget things.  But bit by bit things are getting better.  I am now even secretary of the local state school P & C. Recently I have organized a theatrical dinner show for 100 people.  My house is not so bad any more.  I am not embarrassed when unexpected guests drop in as the house is "in better shape" (as my very organized mum likes to say!)  But the biggest achievement so far was packing the whole family for a camping road trip from Sunshine Coast to Adelaide via Brisbane, Sydney, Canberra and Melbourne.  It took a few months of planning but for 3 weeks any time any one asked where something was I actually knew where it was.  And what's more when we got home I hadn't left anything behind.  Even my sister was impressed with how much I have changed.

So thank you again for your wonderful newsletters.  I know the hard work was mine but without your encouragement and wonderful ideas it would have been so much harder."

Cherrill, Qld, Australia

"Hi Yvette,

Thanks for the useful newsletter.  It provided a constructive way of starting the process of de-cluttering my house - especially now that my children have moved out.  I am one of those who have a problem with little things that have sentimental value. I tend to have a bowl in each room full of little things that I just cannot throw away! Things that remind me of a family event, little objects I keep because they need to be fixed and some things my children have collected and I don't throw them away because they do not belong to me and so I don't make decisions about them. You are so right - the difficult part is about making decisions. And how these little things can accumulate and hold you back!
Thanks. I look forward to your next news letter."

Jenny, Cape Town, South Africa

"Dear Yvette,

Thanks for your e-mails.  I was really going mad lately; but after I read you emails you have shown me a light.  I am still trying so hard to get organized with everything.  I am a mother of 3, aged 13, 12 and 9 with a full time, very demanding job.  Kids home work also do demanding.  Sometimes I felt like giving up everything.  Last few years I have been travelling around the world for work.  That's put me in situation with everything has gone mad.  Kids, house and appointments etc.  My husband also working very hard and most of the time he is not around to deal with house things.  I am trying to do everything like a superwoman, but now I realize I am going mad.  I am feeling very low and snappy at my husband and kids.  Your help really appreciated. Regards,"

Sandy, London, UK

"Dear Yvette:  Thank you for your newsletters - they are so 'spot on' for me lately.....decluttering - is so much easier said than done, but I am currently trying to do that with my son's outgrown toys....for me the worst part is distraction but I am going to persevere!!!!!

I have just read your latest issue and oh, my goodness - how true it is for me.

Thank you for helping me realize that I am truly not the only one with these (seemingly huge) issues - I intend to slow down on trying to do it all at once - and keep reading this issue to remind myself....

Thank you, you are such an inspiration.

Best regards,"

Carol, Paradise, Newfoundland, Canada

"I am a born declutterer. I love your pearls of common sense.
I came from a home where my dear mum's obsessive/compulsive behaviour in keeping every bit of paper and plastic spoon for 60yrs drove us to breaking point.
It drove me to want to do the opposite and not treasure anything for too long
After 5 kids and a husband addicted to paper trails where ever he went, I can say that being objective about what surrounds  you does have an impact well beyond just "the stuff."

A hint to most people is don't give things to clutterers, have beautiful times  together instead. If someone is tending to keep it all  and cannot part with things/stuff then again do not give stuff, give a cherished moment enjoying an activity together."

Yvonne, Sydney, Australia

"Hi,

Just wanted to say thank you for your newsletter, I have been off my work for a number of weeks as everything has been mounting up, I work full time plus regular overtime at my job, I started a weekend and evening business of my own, I am studying for banking exams, and trying to keep the house looking perfect, so finally I snapped!!

I have found it so helpful reading your newsletters, I know that I am far from alone, why we seem to make ourselves martyrs and load ourselves with as much as we can is beyond me!

It has been a big help to read your newsletters and to look at doing things differently, you're doing a great job!!  Thank you,"

Ruth, UK

"Yvette,

Thanks for the update........I could not believe Meg, Newcastle, Australia, as it seemed like I was talking........I did the same thing in the last 12 months.  Thirty year old plastics, spare crockery I thought I could keep (just in case!).  The dog tags, the blankets, sheets, books, etc all needed (I thought) but not missed at all.  We also had my Mum and Mother-in-law move to units, a couple of years ago, so there was the much loved items given to me but as time went by, I found that they too must go.  We are in the process of now placing Mum into a single retirement unit so here we go again.

Your contact is a great comfort and to know there are lots of us out there and we are all working to the same goal, is appreciated.

Best regards,"

Pat, Padstow, NSW, Australia

"I love your website and information!  Thank you!"

Mary, Higganum, USA

"Yvette,

I love your e-mail articles!  This clutter thing I'm trying soooo hard to get a hold of!  I'm a mom of 7 (ages 2 to 12), a pastor's wife, a children's church leader, a church worship team leader, a piano student, a professional cake decorator student, I teach classes once a week on the side and I decorate cakes for extra money (I have a wedding cake to feed 500 in May)!  In addition to all that I still have to wash 100 loads of clothes a month and fix dinner for 9 on a regular basis!  So, clutter drives me nuts but happens so quick with such a big family!  I am happy to say that right now my living room is CLEAN- the only clutter is the over flowing tub full of kids toys!  I even steam cleaned yesterday!!  Anyway, just wanted to share with you that as busy as our lives are de-cluttering is possible.  I have a label maker that comes in really handy!  I still have some organizing to do and these newsletters are encouraging!  I'll be looking for one on KIDS ROOMS! ;>)  Thanks for the emails and I'll check out your blog!!  Keep up the great work!"

Lisa, Hubbard, TX, USA

"Hi Yvette

Thanks for writing these letters.  It helps to keep me motivated to carry on with organization, especially when it does feel as if the clutter is overwhelming.

Have a great weekend."

Karen Coetser, Pretoria, South Africa

"I can't wait for next weeks article on 'feeling overwhelmed" right now if I died that would go on my headstone!  Thanks for all your great updates they are brilliant and I love receiving them.

"Hi Yvette,

I just wanted to email you and let you know I am loving your tips on getting organised.

Thanks again for the great tips on getting myself organised.  I look forward to more newsletters.

Regards,"

Julia, Penrith, Australia

"How encouraging!  A method to get decluttered while actually making a habit of it!!!!  Thanks!!!

My biggest problem in getting motivated is "feeling overwhelmed" by the amount of work I need to do.  Your method provides hope.

Jan, Portland, OR, USA

"Yvette - Thank you sooo much for your latest e-mail re: De-cluttering.  We need to sell the house.  I look around and wonder how I was going to do it.  I realize I need to take one room at a time, like you said, and you made a lot of good points.  As hard as this transition will be, I appreciate your advice and keep up the good work!!!!"

Ellen, Birdsboro, USA

"Dear Yvette,

I must tell you that the 2nd last paragraph below in your newsletter...

(Sometimes the messiest people are very sensitive to disorder, and simple things like having a workspace clear of clutter and papers removes stress and distraction.  If the sight of your desk is freaking you out, just spend 5 minutes, using a timer if necessary, putting things away in labelled folders.  I promise it will make you feel better).

...was read sooner than the rest of the letter because
-it is SO painful to read the contents - you see, opening a file and punching the holes, or stapling something, and then putting it in the file and closing the file and putting it away....it just drives me to the nearest window for fresh air!
-and that paragraph caught my attention since it is true, I am very much more agreeable as a person when I am surrounded by soft and kind order, meaning not harsh and cold order. But clutter makes me edgy and anxious.

If you could see my desk here at home now, you would call 911.

Anyway, I started in a corner of the room 2 nights ago, and I plan to finish by Wed night ( 2 days from now.) Then I would have restored order.

Its a very scary thing this filing issue, for me. Thankyou for your letter, I honestly scanned the contents and I know what to do before you said it, and I am more than capable, but I still get freaked out just thinking about that practical part of putting paper into the file, it just takes too long and is too much of a scientific, detailed, slow motion act for me! And to think I used to love creating order and creating files to file things in....that was 10 years ago and before my first child. What happened since then?

Regards,

Karien Jordaan, Pretoria, South Africa

"Hi! Yvette,

Thank you so much...for this...it's so timely on my present moods and situations...I was hit, by that word, perfectionism...you are so right...I always feel to accomplish everything perfect...or else I end up not doing it at all...and you're right...doing it regularly would be better even if it is not perfect...

please keep sending emails,

your loving friend from Canada"

Regina Jarlego

"WOW!!  There is just no other words one can use to describe both the blog site and your newsletters.  Sooooo much to read!!

Take care, Yvette,"

Elmo, Canada

"Dear Yvette, What a joy to receive your e-mail!  It's comforting to know that we can't accomplish everything every day.  We can choose each day's goals, and limit the time we spend stressing over them.  Actually, the doing of the job is easier than stressing over it.  I love having my home clean, but the clutter still has me struggling.  I'm a professional housekeeper, so the weekends are time to clean my own home.  Keep up the good work.  We all need encouragement.

Lots and lots of love and hugs, and thanks,"

Suzie, Meridianville, USA

"Hi Yvette

How do you always know what I need to read before I do?  I eagerly look at your emails to see what the topic is and nearly every time I say to myself that is amazing.  It is just what I needed to read about right now.  So well done and I will eagerly check out your blog.

Thanks again."

"Hi

I would like to say - a BIG THANKS for giving me a great insight of an 'organised' person! I realise how important it is to review my errands lists daily! It makes my life a lot EASIER!!! I wish I could have read your book and e-mail 8 years ago!!! I have been struggling with my personal paperwork as well as cases with 9 different solicitors! My life is a lot better now and still keep updated with my solicitor!

Many many many thanks! How can I thank you enough?!

Warm Regards"

Thanks so much for the inspiration.  I have been so rewarded with your emails- I await them with eager anticipation.  I really mean it, you have been an amazing inspiration to me.  I have needed you.  Continue to bless the girlfriends of the world, with your wonderful wisdom.  Look forward to hearing more from you."

Wendy, Adelaide, Australia

"Hi Yvette i have been getting your emails for a while now and they have been great, the reason i originally signed up was because we have a large family and things just get on top of you especially when you keep "stuff" for years - even if you dont need it  - since signing up i had a big clean out, put things where they belong, moved house and culled along the way and it has been great.  on the 7th december we had a baby boy - caleb he is our 8th child and i had to have surgery so having the house organized it was great and easy for everyone else to keep on top of.
so thank you for your emails and the ebooks if not for them i would be buried under a pile of junk that i couldnt get on top of with out help and ideas.
sincerely"

Janine Daly, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia

"Dear Yvette,

I wanted to thank you for the thought on wellness as a factor in the
business of motivation and accomplishing things in front of us.
This past year I purchased your e book and soon there after was
diagnosed with lung cancer.  Well between surgery and chemo therapy I have done only baby steps in clearing out 20 years of family clutter after the family has left the nest.

Any way I am almost done with the chemo and was feeling very positive
about this new year ahead as the clearing out of old ways and junk..
However this first week I have felt like my get up and go has got up
and went.. and your news letter reminds me that my doctor said my
white blood count was coming back up but we would watch the red
because it was still down. I go back soon for re-check and possible
shot to correct the problem. So here I was ready to self flog for not
getting with the organizing campaign and didn't even give my health
situation a thought.

So thanks for the reminder."

Julia in Santa Cruz Ca.

"I have read some of your articles and they make sense and have
given me insight into why I have the problem that I have with papers
and "stuff".  Thank you for putting your knowledge down on paper and helping the rest of us! Looking forward to reading your book."

"Your developing habits newsletter is very well done.  Something you had written a while back got me exercising more regularly, but still not enough to make differences such as weight loss.  However this went right to it and told me how to make it a habit.  Instead of thinking in my mind, “I need to exercise regularly so I can lose weight, and minimize my risks of getting certain diseases”, or “ I ate sooo much and I have to exercise because I’m getting so huge”. … Now I’ll say “ I feel great after I exercise”.  “I exercise so I have more energy, I exercise because I care about my health and exercise makes me feel good.

Great newsletter, thanks for all you do."

Jane Alexander, Fargo, North Dakota, USA

"Thank you very much Yvette.  This newsletter came at the right time, when I was about to do fall in the mood of the festive season by engaging myself into unnecessary expenses.

After reading this, I strongly believe that, the strategy proposed would
help facing the days after the festive season has gone.

Regards,
Best wishes for the festive season in anticipation.

"Hi Yvette,

I'm not having a problem this holiday season but have in the past.  managed to get somewhat organized & start planning [in August] most years.  But I did read your newsletter & that is one of the most practical articles I’ve seen in years . . . ever!  I can’t imagine that that article won’t help anyone that reads it [that takes it even somewhat seriously].  Thanks for doing such a great job & helping others.  Keep up the good work."

Debby Rice, Fountain Valley, CA, USA

"I just love the fact that you are so realistic and so balanced and you really make everyone think about what they are doing about everyday things in their lives, that's what is needed - doing a great job and I love getting the newsletters every month - keep it up you are right on target!!!!"

Anne Russo, Australia

"A note to thank you for the excellent article "DEVELOPING AND ESTABLISHING HABITS."  I appreciate it and hope t make it a part of my routine.  Particularly with the Christmas season coming up when I plan to be the hostess for our family Christmas celebration.  I will be watching for any more tidbits you wish to share so the time before and during our dinner will be a truly joyful time.

Sincerely,"

"Hello,

I just read your newsletter and wanted to give you feedback that it's very helpful to get in terms of reinforcing what's in your book.  I just had some health issues recently which threw me out of any kind of schedule and reading your newsletter brought me back to looking at what I need to focus on now in order to be the person I desire.

Thanks!"

Trish, Cincinnati, Ohio, USA

"Thank you so much for this great article.  It has helped me more than anything I have ever read!  I always gleam something important from each of your articles; however this particular one helped me to understand what needs to be done to change habits, and why.  The everyday, mundane household chores was causing me to think negatively about myself.  If I could not do everything I had on my "to do list" I felt overwhelmed.  Your article really put things in perspective, and for that I am grateful. Tomorrow will be a new, brighter day.

Kindest regards,"

Frances, Augusta, GA, USA

"That was a fantastic article...!!!!!!!!!!!  This so falls in my day and how my partner doesn't necessarily appreciate tidiness or understand how it affects me!!!  I have a 3 y/o boy and a 5 mos old baby and I am constantly expressing how important it is to keep toys in their place and putting their dishes by the sink after eating!!!....he even points out to his father how messy he is...hahaha...thank you!!!  this made a difference in my day today especially!"

Angela Zangari, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA

"Thanks a lot, I'm enjoying your article tremendously"

Dalene Rall, Pretoria, South Africa

"Thanks for your newsletter about shopping.

I really like the idea of keeping a list of prices of things bought
regularly.  I often don't know whether something is a real bargain or not.
Plus in Canada products such as dry goods are sometimes priced in metric
measures and sometimes in imperial so it's hard to compare.  Toilet tissue,
facial tissue and paper towels are sometimes priced per sheet, and sometimes
by roll, and the sheets may be different sizes or different numbers in the
box.

One of my tricks is to put all of the same kind of items together on the
cash register's track:  canned goods, dry goods, paper goods, and
particularly vegetables, frozen food, and refrigerator food.  When they are
put into bags, I make sure that the last three groups are packed together.
Then if I'm really in a hurry when I get home I can easily pick out the
perishables and put them away, leaving the rest for later.

I know that everything should be put away immediately, but I am a 24/7
caregiver to my husband who is an invalid and I often only have 1-1/2 hours
at a time to drive to the store, shop, and get back home before he needs my
attention again.

Hoping this helps someone else, and thanks again for all your good ideas.

Heather, Brampton, Ontario, Canada

"I am so glad I read your articles.  It "hit the nail on the head".  I am the one that is frustrated over my partner's being a slob in some areas.  Thank you for the new insight as to "how to encourage him or not" and get on w/life!"

Jani, Shellsburg, United States

"Wonderful article again!  What an enormous help these newsletters are!  Just wanted to say thanks again - they are real "life savers" to me.  I have been receiving the newsletters for a while now and have saved them to a folder in my InBox so I can refer back to them - there are so many areas in which your hints etc will be - and are - of great help to me.  They say "a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step" and I have many miles to go before I reach my destination and my goals with what I want to do with my house and my life but I intend on taking what I learn from your newsletters etc every step of the way with me!  It is a big world and filled with so many people but often we feel like we are the only ones going thru what we are going thru - your newsletters etc help us realize we are not alone and that there are true solutions and a much better life to be had - Thank you again for the wonderful help and ideas and support!  Looking forward to the next step and the next newsletter!"

"Dear Yvette,

You have turned my untidy, disorganized life around by 360 degrees.  I've been receiving your tips for some time now and decided on 23 October to spring clean my home and store rooms.  Have chucked out so much.  You have taught me to maintain sanity with time and rushing around with 3 small children.  My pet hate is planning the meal every day.  Well you "planning meals" has helped me to such an extent I am enjoying it now.  Thanks for your reply, I found the tip I was looking for.  Your web page is great.

Kind regards,"

Charlene Du Toit, Kokstad, South Africa

"Hi Yvette:

I am so enjoying your helpful tips, it is amazing how smart you are!  I am delighted with what I have learned so far.  It just reinforces what I have known for a long time, and a lot of which I have been using, thought it is the sticking to the routine that gets me "stuck".

I have a spouse who has been home for 17 years due to illness, and he had hernia surgery on Sept. 11, and it is taking longer to heal.  This requires me to be giving much more time to him than I am used to.  So these tips have really helped.

Sincerely,"

Loretta David, Chilliwack, BC, Canada

"Dear Yvette,

I am finding all of your information interesting and it has encouraged me to start to clean up that room where everything gets shoved into.  Whether you know it or not you are helping so many other people in a way you never thought possible.  Thank you."

I just can't begin to tell you how much your book and newsletters have changed my life!  I LOVE reading your writing style.  The newsletters keep me focused on the things that are important to me. Sincerely,

Jen Jameson, Portland Orgegon, USA

"Good morning to you!

I am a 28 year old career, married woman with one child.  My life is always busy, having meetings, family parties and friends.  Never got time to do house work and stuff, I'm always rushing....House work always piles up and often to tired to do anything.  Had to come up with some idea to make my life enjoyable, then you came along.

I always thought that these kind of advises dint apply for young women like me.  It made me realise that its not about an age group, more to sort out your individual priorities.  It sometimes put stress on the marriage as well.

I just want to say thank you very much to you Yvette for, helping me getting my life organised.  Ever since I received your advise I can see that my life is sorting itself out.  Thank you for letting me know that you can enjoy life better when its organised.

Thank you for being an inspiration to life.  I really enjoy reading your letters it gives me new hope for being a young married mom.

Keep up with your excellent work performance.

Love Evelyn, Cape Town, South Africa

"Hi Yvette,

Just to give you some feedback about your newsletter and ebook.  I am an organised person who allowed disorganisation to take over my life for just over 20 years.  In fact I was "too organised" which attracted a lot of "criticism/attention" from others around me, so I sub-consciously let it slide to my detriment.  My mission now is to reclaim it.  I am now taking control of my life in many areas, and have since learned that my greatest strength became my greatest weakness because I took it for granted.  In doing so, I have noticed the synchronicity with the theme of your newsletters and the things I focus on the be re-organised.  Meal planning has been the focus for me this week and lo and behold a newsletter on meal planning.  So thank you for being so in tune with the messages of the Universe and supporting me along my journey to reclaim my gifts and achieve my dreams.

Maureen, London, England

"GREAT ideas and thoughts here...thanks a lot and keep 'em coming!!"

"Yvette,

I just wanted to write to let you know how much I enjoy your emails.  This one in particular was just what I needed!  I do get out of bed when I need to every morning, but my attitude is terrible!  I have always held the mantra "I'm not a morning person" and of course, saying that my whole life has made me a grumpy zombie every morning when I wake up.  I grumble as I turn off the alarm, I complain as I get dressed, I get angry as I make the coffee, and needless to say, it takes me until the afternoon to get my attitude turned around!  Well, thanks for the wake-up Call!!  LITERALLY!  No more!  Tomorrow I will greet the day knowing that I am doing it for ME!  My day really is better if I am up and at 'em at the appropriate time.  I appreciate the time and effort you put into your newsletters.  They have made a difference in my life and my family's!

Thank you,"

Amy, Mitchell, South Dakota, USA

"Dear Yvette,

I am not a young Mother like you but a Grandmother with twin grand daughters and three teenage grandsons who live a long way from me.

I have had tremendous results from reading your daily get organise ideas.  many I already encompass in my life but we can always learn something new to add to our quality of life.

Thankyou for your thoughtful ideas which have added a new dimension to my life.

Kindest thoughts to you and your family."

"Hello Yvette,

Just thought I would let you know that I do read your newsletter.  I am a mother of 6 and grandma (nana) of 10.  My time seems busier than when all six were home.  I am always looking for ways to make life flow easier.  Your ideas are very good.  Thank you."

Ruth Webster, Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia

"Yvette:

Wow.  In reading this, I was blown away by your quiet truth.  I've been spending much time on self-analysis lately, and your simple truth about how we can view discipline struck a mega chord in me.  I realized, while reading, that I have always thought, "I have to choose between achieving my goals and being happy".  I never realized that I could be happy AND achieve my goals!!

I am consciously incorporating this into my goals for weight loss.  I will get back to you in a few months as the changes occur.

As for the e-book, I am floored with its fabulousness.  I have been on holiday for the past month, so my sister has been reading my copy, and my dad has given your website to a couple people.  I love that you talk so much about internal motivation and reasons for disorganisation....that is very important, in my eyes.  I've learned that before I make a change I must understand WHY I'm doing it or else the change will be temporary at best.  You put things so clearly and so simply, I keep having AHA!! moments as I read it.

So thank you for listening to your calling, going out on a limb, and creating your own business.  I sing your praises to all I meet!  And I look forward to seeing these changes -- however small -- I am making, under your suggestion, manifest in my life.

Best wishes,"

Megan Phillips, Vancouver, Canada  www.meganphillips.com

"Just want to say how much I look forward to your newsletter.  This week's on Self Discipline really hit home and has motivated me to take a second look a a lot of things.  Thanks for all your good news!"

I just wanted to leave a little feedback letting you know that the emails you have sent me are being a great help in my life.  I have recently separated from the father of my 1 and 5 year old who I have been with for 7 years and was finding it hard to cope.  I now feel like I am slowly but surely on the mend.

"I've recently received a "promotion" at work to do much of the project scheduling/managing.  I really have no clue as to how to do this.

Your articles have really encouraged me.  The line "Keep it moving, keep it moving" was exactly what I needed to hear!

Thank you so much for freely sharing your wisdom!

Pamela, Tennessee, USA

"Dear Yvette,

Thank you for this website subscription.  I live alone and often wonder how to clean stains, get myself into "gear" to do household jobs, etc.  I like to be organised, but living alone it is so easy to think "I'll do it tomorrow", which never comes.

Kind regards,"

Charles Braan, New Zealand

Shirley N.  Tallahassee, Florida, USA

"Hello Yvette,

Thank you for another fine article.  The first article on To Do list created a few questions most of which are answered in this latest article.  As I approach the end of this article I realized that your discussion is like a therapy session.  At least for me.  I guess what I'm trying to say is that my attitude to my To Do list has changed in a healthy way as a result of absorbing your ideas.  Viewing To Do list from your perspective, "not part of my normal routine and not yet committed to" was an epiphany for me.  This definition makes it OK to have items on the To Do list for months.  The routine task and task you have committed to are on your calendar.  So, as long as you maintain the calendar, you are on top of things.  Wow!  It's that simple.  I can't believe I never got that until now.

Thanks again,"

Malcolm, Pacifica, CA, USA

"Thanks Yvette,

You should know that I enjoy your email newsletter.  The last article on To-Do list created a "little bulb" moment for me.

Thanks again"

"Dear Yvette,

I wanted to thank you for your ebook, newsletters and daily tips.  I purchased the ebook in April after visiting my cousin, who has a very clean and organized home.  When I got back I felt depressed and frustrated.  My laundry was overflowing out of the closet, the dishes were stacked up in the sink on the counter and on the table.  The house was a mess and I didn't even know where to begin.

I started scanning the Internet hoping to find a way to "get myself organized".  I found articles, suggestions and "helpful" hints. Soon I was printing things out and writing down notes only to find myself spending more time on the Internet and writing than actually accomplishing the tasks that lye ahead. The problem was everything sounded great,  but I was never motivated and getting organized still seemed unattainable. Then when I was near the point of self implosion I found your website.  When I read your home page, I kept thinking...this is me.  Everything from missing important deadlines, late fees because I hadn't opened the mail in months, never being able to stick to a budget, funky smells coming from the kitchen and bathrooms to purchasing new clothes because all of our clothes were dirty.

We had $80 dollars in our account, but I knew I had to buy the book. Despite not having very much money I purchased it...never looking back.

I began reading and suddenly felt a new sense of determination and focus.  For the first time in my adult life I knew I could do it.  I started small.  Taking it one step at a time.  Soon the dirty laundry pile was disappearing, the funky smells had gone away and I was actually on time to several appointments.  I have even started utilizing a calendar and keeping track of our finances.  I now have a savings...it's small, but what an accomplishment.

One story that I want to share happened about a month after purchasing your ebook.  My husband was training for his EMT certification and we had to travel to the city where he could do his 12 hours at an ER.  When we returned home my husband and sister-in-law went to class and I went to work at cleaning out the car and washing the dirty clothes.  When they returned from class my husband informed me that he had offered a couple of students his scrubs for use at their shift.  Both he and my sister-in-law suggested that we hang up the scrubs and spray them with a fabric spray to "freshen" them up.  I informed them that the scrubs had already been washed and were folded and put away.  Anyone that knows me, knows that cleaning out the car so quickly is a miracle in and of it's self.  Both he and my sister-in-law looked at me incomplete disbelief.  They were completely blown away, which goes to show how my disorganization has effected everyone around me. It also shows how the changes I have made have wowed everyone around me.

I still have set backs, but I am finally beginning to gain control of my laundry, my bills, my junk and more importantly my life.  Your ebook and monthly newsletters have reminded me of what my desires are and how to obtain them.  My life is slowly changing in so many wonderful ways...each day I wake up excited to see what amazing things will happen.  Even better I now have the time to enjoy them.

Thank you so much!"

Christy B, Alamo, NV USA

Thank you for inspiring me!

"Yvette -

Thanks so much!!  Great ideas.  I HAVE to make lists in order to survive!!  For a few years I was much too ill to do ANYTHING - yet - I "had to" have my lists and cross things off each day or I could NOT have survived !!  All TOO MANY days I could do NOTHING, but still had to cross "something" off my list.

I am SO THANKFUL that I can now add OTHER THINGS to my lists.  Not always can I do what I would like to do, but I still keep on making lists.

At my age, my "mental file cabinet" is so FULL of stuff that I need, more thank ever, to make lists.  I so glad that I'm not the only one!!

So - THANKS FOR THE ENCOURAGEMENT !!  I'll continue to look forward to your newsletter!!

Sincerely,"

Gwen, Torrington, Wyoming, USA

"Hi Yvette,

I was a totally disorganised disfunctional mother until I found your website.  Bought the book and life has been, on the whole, flowing more freely for myself.  Every home should have them, it makes so much sense and very practical.  I now no longer have to stress about anything.

Thanks mate,

A new improved aussie mum, with a whole new purpose in my life.  Keep the emails coming."

Michelle, Branxton NSW, Australia

"Hi Yvette,

When I read your newsletter this morning, I had to laugh because it's almost as though you were here with me yesterday because your opening line is exactly what I said when I returned yesterday, "Look at this mess!  I only just tidied up.  How did it get like this so fast?"  I really appreciate your newsletters and tips.  They are great and a real inspiration to me."

Sincerely,"

MAM Quebec, Canada

"Thanks so much for your article on developing the habit of being tidy.  I used to be like that but have developed some really sloppy habits.  It has already helped me to remind myself to just "put it away".

Thanks again,"

Mary L Call, M.A.  Staff Counselor, Home Improvement Ministry, Inc.  Tulsa, OK, USA

"Dear Yvette,

Thank you so much for your wonderful tips on getting organized.  Mine and my husband's life style moving four times in the last six years has left our home(s) in a mess.  Especially the one we returned too.  I have 40+ rescued animals to care for daily and due to all the moves we only have trails to walk through in our home now.  I am at my wits end so to speak and am trying to start with baby steps.  I appreciate your advice and will BEGIN today to follow your tips.  I look forward to your regular helpful Email tips.  You have truly been my guardian angel.  You will never know how much your GENTLE words of encouragement and cleaning and organizing tips have meant to me...especially since I was at "rock" bottom and overwhelmed with the disarray at my home. God has indeed blessed me with you.

Very sincerely,"

Mary Gammel, Grenada, Mississippi

"Dear Yvette,

I would like to thank you for sending me such helpful, good advice with respect to keeping my home organised.  I have always liked to keep organised, however there have been times when I get busier in another area of my life that has had to take priority over the home.  But thanks to your emails, I have implemented a new organised structure.  I feel this has been important to me as I know if my home is organised everyone is happier & it really does save time.

I love the organisation.  I have a place for everything, & it goes back straight in its place.  Since clearing the clutter & giving away large bags of things I just kept for no purpose I feel clearer in my mind too.  I now feel I can get on with focusing on my future with my husband of 8 years.  I have you to thank because you have given my the tools to feel I can now move forward into a new period in my life whatever God brings me/us!

The peace and tranquillity I wake up to is because I acted on your e-mails.  I didn't just read them.  My quality of sleep is also lovely because my mind is even more at peace!

With Best Wishes,"

Princess, Essex, UK

"Hi Yvette

"The e-mail on procrastination is great!  It was just what I needed to understand some of my reasons for procrastination.

Thanks!"

Bonita, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada

"Yvette, I had to smile looking over this email which you sent a couple of weeks ago.  (No, I'm not too good at cleaning out my e-mail box either, especially if it's a good one, like yours.)  The reason I'm smiling is that it's like having my mom here with me.  You need to know I'm 66 years old, and my own mother has been gone for over 30 years.  The thought of having a young, energetic woman like yourself serve as a stand-in for my mom (who was herself a packrat) just tickles me.

Have a good day!"

Margie, Franklin, Wisconsin, USA

"Yvette, thank you for all the good advice.  I love reading all your tips.  You make things seem fun.

All the best,"

Judy

"Dear Yvette,

Thanks for the great tips on your website, very useful & helpful, even for someone who is already well organized!  The calendar idea/tip has helped me out a lot, no longer have to think to myself "Isn't there something I had to do today/this weekend???"!

Thanks again!"

Lori L. Medford, NY USA

"Dear Yvette,

I do want to tell you that just by reading your tips, I was encouraged to force myself to go through all my winter clothes....Then I started on my paper mess.  I am a natural born "messy" person and I need the wisdom that you have written to keep me encouraged.  You have a way of writing your processes just in the "tips" that makes a person really WANT to clean up their environment.

Thank you for the time you have taken to help others by your learned knowledge.  I can hardly wait to order the online books.

Sincerely,"

Trish Lanahan, Fort Myers, Florida, USA

"Hi Yvette!

Thanks for the newsletter...:o)  Things are going well here now...gratefully!...HOW handy it has been to also share some new and also well proven tips with my young daughter-in-law who sincerely 'wants' suggestions about things!  She was here yesterday and read your newsletter...said it gave her perfect suggestions for the 'tidying/organizing' blitz that she's on right now!!  God Bless 'n keep 'em coming! x "

Lorene, Chemainus, British Columbia, Canada

"I enjoy your newsletter.  I feel like you understand the way my mind works (or doesn't) better than some of the other organizing advisers, who seem like they haven't "been there" themselves.

Best,

at it as such a huge job, I never knew how to start.  I WANT to be
organized, I really do, I just didn't know how-and you have given me that
light at the end of the tunnel-thank you so much for that."
